Tours
Garden tours are offered May-September with July being the best time to see full plant development. The one hour tour covers the main 6 gardens and any outer gardens as time allows. The four hour tour covers the main 6 gardens and many of the scattered gardens over our acreage. If you wish to know the name of all the perennial edibles the tour may take longer than 4 hours. .
There is also apiary tours. It is not recommended you dive into the bees with us if you allergic to bees. You must wear long plants, long sleeve shirt, socks and closed toe shoes. A bee suit is available for you to use. We are not responsible for any stings that may occur. There is a maximum two people at a time for this tour. The time it takes to do this tour varies depending on the bees.
We also have syruping tours. This is a hands on tour, so be ready to go into he woods to collect syrup, or boil it down in our evaporator or help with the final cook down. Maple syruping takes about 12 hours start to end, so we recommend you come at different times depending on what step you want to experience. Boil down takes the longest while gathering syrup takes less than an hour and cook down takes about 30 minutes.
We also offer a chicken tour that will show you how we manage our chickens. We have many unique items that make our chicken care easy.
Tours are free and are by appointment only so please email us at mulberryapiary@gmail.com
Consulting
Over the years we have been asked to help with gardens, bees and other homesteading tasks on other people's homesteads. We are more than happy to help, however we have been getting so many requests that we will now be charging a small negotiable fee. We are also open to bartering our services. Please feel free to email us with questions or for more information.

Pioneer School
Three times in the summer I teach Pioneer School for the Mille Lacs County Historical Society. For one week kids 1st grade-7th grade will experience the life of a one room school house in the 1880s. Registration can be found though Princeton Community Education.
