Winter preparations

Winter is fast approaching here in Minnesota. So it was time to make the gardens ready for winter. I gathered leaves and placed them over a large portion of the gardens. The winter crops (Siberian Kale and other greens) are still growing strong and getting sweeter. We will be harvesting those until January from under the snow. Because fall work takes up so much time I didn't get any pictures. Between putting up snow fences, cleaning up the garden, stacking 3 cords of firewood, chickens, turkey hunting and much more, all I had time to photograph where these pretty trees. Enjoy!
