The cold days of January.

It has been cold here at Mulberry Apiary with temperature dipping town to -27f (windchill reading much colder). The river has frozen solid and the wild turkeys have been using it as their main highway.

We have also had a few opportunities to see some faint northern lights and some beautiful sunsets.

We have been keeping toasty warm with our wood stove and dreaming spring gardens. The seed catalogs have begun to arrive and I am thinking about adding Elderberries to our homestead. I found a great article about them and If I should go this route I think we will plant them by the pond: https://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/957/
