Fall happenings 2018

We had a huge apple harvest this fall. The bees were hard at work and the apples and honey were proof of their labor.

We heat with wood and while we were cutting up our oak in the yard a coyote ran up and took our rooster and our pet silkie. Okee died defending his hens, he died a hero rooster.

Our chickens must have a rooster and we found a wonderful new roo from a great family from north branch who hand raised him to be the wonderful rooster he is. Introducing Smokey.. our new brave rooster:
