Featured Plant: Lovage (Levisticum officinale)

Lovage (Levisticum officinale). The perennial celery. Zone 3-8. This plant is a great replacement for celery. It is a little stronger flavored so you don't need a lot. Natural straws can be made with it as its stems are hollow (very fun for kids). As you drink though these straws you get vitamins from the plant. It is a Perennial and the only time I ever lost it was the winter we had - 46 air temperature (windchill was - 76 or something crazy like that). We didn't have enough snow to insulate it.
