The Siberian Pea Bush (Caragana arborescen) Zone 2-8. This bush is a perennial bush that produces edible peas. These peas are high in protein and can be eaten. While they do not taste as sweet as sweet peas they are still very good and produce a LARGE crop. I plant mine near the chickens because they are used as feed in Russia for their fowls. These get to be about 12 feet tall and will easily out produce your sweet peas. If you do not harvest them in time the pea pods explode and spread their seeds everywhere. Caution must be made to not let it become an invasive species
