This weeks featured plant is the Lemon Thyme (Thymus x citriodus) zone 5-9. This plant is as it's very edge of being a perennial in my area (zone 3-4). It is a perennial about 60% of the time here. I love the lemon thyme because it is a little sweeter than the lemon balm and when put together with lemon balm they make an amazing lemon-aid. You can also add lemon thyme to vinegar water to make a cleaner that repels ants. It adds an nice lemon favor in salads and has a wonderful smell when crushed. It is easily dried for use in winter giving you a nice spring smell.
