This weeks featured plant is the Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile) Zone 4-9. This is a perennial plant that is low growing (6 inches) and is sometimes uses as lawn replacement. Do not confused it with German Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) which is not a perennial. The flowers of this plant is what you want. You can make an amazing tea that helps is so many areas. The main reason I liked this tea is it helps you with caffeine withdraw. It is also known to help you sleep and to help with upset stomach. If you suffer from anxiety it helps clam you down and has been reported to help with mild depression. It is said that the fresh flower reminds people of apples. Give this delicate plant a space in your garden ; you will not be disappointed.
